Person Independent Recognition of Head Gestures from Parametrised and Raw Signals Recorded from Inertial Measurement Unit

Data linked to the article published in the Applied Sciences journal (https://doi.org/10.3390/app10124213) In the zip archives each file contains data recorded by DUO MLX at a sampling rate of 100 Hz. In each file one row contains one variable. The data was saved in the following order: accx, accy, accz, gyrx, gyry, gyrz, where accx, accy, accz refer to the recorded accelerations along axes OX, OY, OZ, and gyrx, gyry, gyrz refer to angular velocities recorded from the gyroscope. - Learning_dataset.zip - data set recorded from randomly selected 53 of all the 65 participants. This data set was used for training the classifiers. - T_53_set.zip - data set recorded for the same 53 trial participants. This data was not used for training the classifiers, but was used for testing the classifiers. - T_12_set.zip - data set recorded for new 12 trial participants. This data was used for testing the classifiers and was not used for training the classifiers. - Annotation.txt - description of all files containing test data (T_53_set.zip, T_12_set.zip). The description has the form: timestamp in seconds - type of movement.
