Cedars TIF District Exh A

The Cedars Tax Increment Financing (TIF) district is situated to the south of downtown Dallas, bordered by the Farmers Market to the east, Dallas City Hall, and the Convention Center to the north, and the Trinity River to the west. Established in 1992, the district aims to bolster the real estate market and stimulate fresh investments by serving as a financial resource for public amenities and infrastructure enhancements in the locality. Its primary objective is to leverage its strategic proximity to downtown Dallas and key transportation routes to attract new developments, both residential and commercial, along mixed-use corridors such as Akard, Ervay, Corinth, Harwood, and Lamar Streets. Through this approach, the Cedars TIF seeks to foster growth, ultimately expanding its tax base.
