A Study on the Unique Emotional Dynamics of Red Cultural Heritage in Nostalgia Tourism: A Case from China

The data collection was conducted through on-site surveys. The survey took place from Sep 13th to Sep 18th，2024, at the exits of museums and surrounding revolutionary tourism sites in Jinggangshan. Questionnaires were randomly distributed to visitors, who voluntarily filled them out after fully experiencing and concluding their tour. Upon initial contact, we introduced ourselves to the participants and provided a detailed explanation of the study's objectives and procedures. Subsequently, we sought their voluntary participation in completing a self-report questionnaire. It was emphasized that all data collected would be utilized exclusively for academic research purposes and that their personal information and confidentiality would be strictly maintained throughout the study. A total of 520 respondents participated in this study, and their general demographic information is presented in Table 1. Out of the 520 collected questionnaires, 80 incomplete or invalid ones were excluded, leaving 440 valid questionnaires for the final data analysis. The collected data were analysed using the SPSSAU data analysis platform and Smart PLS 4.0. The experiment has been reviewed and approved by the Ethics Committee of Guangdong University of Technology [GDUTXS2024161].
