This series contain information such as: date, number of case, complainant’s name, defendant’s name, offence, fines, values, and wages, costs, expiration of time allowed for payment, when capias was issued, who received by, when imprisoned as per gaol return, amount paid, when paid, and any remarks.In the volume dating from 1916 to 1938 there are five pages pinned to the first page of the book. They have the heading, “Return of Commitment Warrants.” They include dates of conviction, date of warrant, defendant’s name, their offence, the amount of the fine, M.D. folio, and remarks. On the back of each page are “Instructions regarding the Compilation of Quarterly Returns of Unexecuted Commitment Warrants.” These papers are dated from 31st December 1931 to 30th June 1934.The volume dating from 1932 to 1949 includes three Return of Commitment Warrants forms dated from 31st March 1938 to 28th May 1941, and a folder with the heading, “Moneys Due and Capias Issued Folder.” It contains within it a Return of Commitment Warrant form dated the 31st March 1951, and two Ardlethan Court of Petty Sessions depositions dated the 12th December 1951.
