Antiviral activity and toxicity of Hsp90 inhibitors in primary human airway epithelial cells. (A) Cytotoxicity of 17AAG in HAEC. HEAC grown at an air-liquid interface for 2 weeks were treated with the indicated concentrations of 17AAG and toxicity measured 72 hours post infection using the Alamar blue assay. (B) Antiviral activity of Hsp90 inhibitors in HEAC. HAEC were infected with RSV-A2 and treated with the indicated concentrations of 17AAG for 72 hours prior to determination of virus production by endpoint dilution.
