NRS-16694 | Mothers' Club Records [Cessnock West Infants School]

This series consists primarily of the Minute Books for the Infants’ School Mothers’ Club, the volumes held being those for 1935-1945 and 1945-1955. The Minute Books are handwritten, and carry a number of enclosures, such as statements of account, items of correspondence, newspaper cuttings and photographs. With them are associated (i) a file, entitled 'Functions Relating to Mothers' Club,' containing the Statement of Accounts of the Infants’ School Mothers’ Club for the thirteen months ending the 31st January, 1965, and the record of the Election of Officers for the same on the 8th February 1966; and (ii) a small bundle of additional materials, consisting of: the Secretary’s notebook, containing a record of the election of officers at the meeting held the 13th March, 1956, and notes on the history of the Infants’ School Mothers’ Club from its foundation on the 28th May, 1935; an envelope of newspaper cuttings and notes on the history of the Mothers’ Club, apparently dating from 1956, including a photograph of the founding members of the Club taken in 1935; leaflets announcing Mothers’ Club functions, dating between 1953 and 1960; a Financial Statement for 1960, signed and dated on the 2nd March, 1961; one envelope of Physical Education lesson outlines, on cards, undated; and a copy of “Kalori,” apparently a school annual, dating (on internal evidence) from between the 2nd and 19th May, 1970. Most of this additional material, particularly that relating to the history of the Mothers’ Club, appears to have come originally from Mrs R.J. Claxton, Hon. Secretary for many years from the Club’s founding in 1935, who also was responsible for maintaining the Minute Books.

4. 一份1960年度财务报表，签署日期为1961年3月2日；
5. 一袋未标注日期的体育课程教学大纲卡片；
6. 一本名为《Kalori》的学校年鉴副本，根据内部资料推断，其成书时间介于1970年5月2日至5月19日之间。

这批补充材料中的大部分，尤其是与母亲俱乐部历史相关的藏品，最初均来自R·J·克莱克斯顿夫人——她自1935年俱乐部成立起担任荣誉秘书长达多年，同时也是这批议事录簿的维护者。
