### Gene expression in the mandibular and maxillary arches _Lhx6_ is expressed in the maxillary mesenchyme and oral region of the mandibular mesenchyme at E10.5. At E12.5, it is expressed in odontogenic mesenchyme, tongue mesenchyme, and oral region of the palate. At E14.5, it is expressed in the odontogenic mesenchyme and oral region of the palate.
