Dataset for Detecting Vehicle in Pedestrian Areas

The Car_Truck_Bus_Pedestrian-Area.zip is a collection of 3,607 images, each in very high resolution in .jpg format. The sum of the file is 208 MB. It is prepared for detecting vehicles in pedestrian areas in urban environments and taken at 1280×720 (HD) resolution. Each image is approximately 65 KB in size. Image data was collected from 80 strategically placed public CCTVs in Medellín, Colombia, taken under different light and weather conditions, and recorded every 60 s between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. For each image, it is necessary to identify cars, buses, trucks, and pedestrians in particular zones differentiated from the background. This dataset has the vision to train and evaluate machine learning models to be applied in urban traffic management and pedestrian safety.
