Detection of human motions using millimeter wave sensors

Raw data from mmwave radar (model: IWR6843AOP from Texas Instruments) were meticulously recorded. Each folder contains a text file with notes, a legend with a list of measurements associated to an ID, and data stored in subfolders together with a configuration file and a log file. Each measurement was saved as a binary file using a Data Capture (DCA1000) from Texas Instruments. The configuration text file provides all the acquisition parameters including number of transmitters, receivers, ADC samples and the profile configuration of the chirps. More details about the configuration file can be found in the "mmwave Studio User Guide" provided by Texas Instruments. Motions of one and two persons, including squats, gymnastic exercises, runs and walks near the radar were acquired. As far as the interpretation of the raw data binary file is concerned, Texas Instruments also provides a user guide. Eventually, a script in Matlab to extract the structure of raw data was implemented and is available from the author upon request.
