The chilli plant (Capsicum annuum L.) is one of the plants that grow in the tropics and subtropics. The chilli plant is a fruit crop that is widely cultivated in the world and belongs to the genus Capsicum. Lotanbar is a chilli pepper that belongs to the species C. annum. It is a local curly chilli cultivated by farmers in Lima Puluh Kota Regency, West Sumatra. Lotanbar chilli plants can produce more than two fruits in one node. The number of transcripts identified from the chilli plants was about 23,247. The chilli plants expressed about 807 genes.
