Compensation areas according to the Federal Nature Conservation Act (Compensation List) – Internet

For data protection reasons, this data set contains only a subset of the compensation areas of the Hamburg Compensation Register. These data contain all compensation areas from large intervention projects, from the land management planning as well as eco-account areas in accordance with §16 BNatSchG in conjunction with the Hamburg Eco-Account Ordinance. In addition, measure areas in accordance with §9 (1) No. 20 BauGB are presented. The areas covered by the BauGB are not nature conservation compensatory measures, but are laid down in development plans without classification as “areas for the protection, maintenance and development of soil, nature and landscape” in order to exclude other uses or development on these lands. The compensation list is based on the legal basis of the Federal Nature Conservation Act. Under Paragraph 17(6) of the BNatSchG, the compensation and replacement measures and the areas used for that purpose are recorded in that list. In addition, information about the respective intervention is stored. The database describes the type of intervention, intervention description as well as compensation and replacement measures. This data is linked to a GIS program in which the corresponding areas are mapped. Before the amendment of the Federal Nature Conservation Act in 2009, the compensation list was called “intervention cadastre”.
