资源简介:
This dataset provides a comprehensive longitudinal record of daily COVID-19 mortality and surveillance indicators in Bangladesh covering the period from January 1, 2021 to February 10, 2026. The data were compiled from official daily press releases published by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Bangladesh, which served as the primary national source for pandemic reporting during the study period. The dataset contains daily observations of COVID-19 testing, confirmed cases, mortality counts, recovery rates, and demographic and geographic mortality distributions across Bangladesh. Mortality data are disaggregated by administrative division, gender, and age group, enabling detailed analysis of demographic vulnerability, regional disparities, and temporal trends throughout multiple pandemic phases. The dataset was curated through systematic extraction and preprocessing of official surveillance reports. Data cleaning included date standardization, numeric conversion, and handling of missing values through forward filling and interpolation methods where necessary to maintain temporal consistency. The resulting dataset provides a structured and machine-readable format suitable for statistical analysis, epidemiological modeling, and public health research. This dataset enables a wide range of secondary analyses, including: Time-series analysis of pandemic mortality trends Demographic risk assessment across age and gender groups Spatial analysis of mortality across administrative divisions Estimation of epidemiological indicators such as case fatality rates and test positivity rates Evaluation of pandemic waves and long-term transition to endemic conditions The dataset contains daily records with 26 variables, including surveillance indicators, geographic mortality counts for eight divisions of Bangladesh, gender-specific mortality counts, and mortality stratified across eleven age categories. Researchers and policymakers may use this dataset to investigate long-term pandemic dynamics in Bangladesh and conduct comparative studies with other countries or regions.
