2. Data Processing
Based on the collected data, the consumption amount (total expenditure of a member within the one-year statistical cycle), consumption frequency (number of purchases, i.e., purchase frequency), and consumption cycle (time interval between consecutive purchases, used to evaluate member activity level) of the store's members are analyzed. Five member tiers are determined according to the above parameters:
- Core Members: Members with consumption amount ≥ a1, consumption frequency ≥ b1, and consumption cycle ≤ c1, who contribute the most to the store;
- Ordinary Members: Members with a2 ≤ consumption amount < a1, b2 ≤ consumption frequency < b1, and c1 < consumption cycle ≤ c2, who maintain consumption at a certain frequency and amount, forming a stable customer group;
- Mildly Dormant Members: Members with a3 ≤ consumption amount < a2, b3 ≤ consumption frequency < b2, and c2 < consumption cycle ≤ c3, whose consumption frequency has decreased but still make occasional purchases;
- Moderately Dormant Members: Members with a3 ≤ consumption amount < a2, b3 ≤ consumption frequency < b2, and c2 < consumption cycle ≤ c3, who have extended consumption intervals and significantly reduced purchase frequency;
- Deeply Dormant Members: Members with 0 ≤ consumption amount < a3, consumption frequency < b3, and c3 < consumption cycle ≤ 12, who have not made any purchases for an extended period and are almost inactive;
- Severely Dormant Members: Members with 0 consumption amount and 0 purchase frequency, and consumption cycle > 12, who are even less active than Deeply Dormant Members and require special re-activation strategies.
