This dataset includes the death rates (per 100,000 population) by age and gender for motor vehicle occupants killed in crashes for the years 2012 and 2014 across all states in the United States. The data source is the Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS) from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Data suppression occurs in cases of blank cells and fatality rates based on fewer than 20 deaths.
