The main goals of this study were 1) to analyze the compositions and diversity of the bacterial communities based on high-throughput sequencing combined with bioinformatics analysis; 2) to identify the main environmental factors driving the spatial heterogeneity of the bacterial communities; and 3) to reveal warning indicators for the changes of ecosystem function and service in Hamatai lake of desert area of Mongolia plateau.
