RNA sequencing of Arabidopsis thaliana col-0, pelota mutant, and TuMV-NIb transgenic seedlings

To verify whether TuMV-NIb alone is sufficient to inhibit the function of Pelota in plants, we performed RNA-sequencing (RNA-seq) and comparative transcriptome analysis using Col-0, pelota mutant, and NIb transgenic Arabidopsis seedlings. NIb expression was found to significantly impact Arabidopsis gene expression levels. The spectrum of gene expression alterations observed in pelota mutants is nearly completely covered by the changes induced by NIb expression.
