AI for Heritage Preservation and Engagement

This dataset presents a theoretical and conceptual framework for AI-driven heritage preservation in Bangladesh, grounded in Human-Centered AI (HCAI) and Sociotechnical Systems (STS) theories. It defines AI literacy for cultural heritage and outlines a mediating process to safeguard tangible and intangible assets, including UNESCO sites and traditional crafts, and illustrates the "Mediating Process of AI in Heritage Preservation," mapping the transition from heritage-at-risk to the AIFHPE goal. It outlines how AI interventions (3D modeling, NLP, AR/VR) overcome environmental and structural barriers to ensure sustainable cultural outcomes in the Bangladesh context.
