Airlock

Airlock is a Snowflake Native App that lets you safely use AI agents without giving them direct access to your data.

Instead of exposing tables, Airlock introduces **specs** — governed data contracts that define what can be submitted, who can submit it, and what rules must pass. Agents interact only through controlled stored procedures, ensuring that all data entering Snowflake is validated, authorized, and traceable.

Airlock enables:

- **Governed agent access** — agents operate through narrow, controlled APIs instead of direct table access
- **Validated data ingestion** — enforce schemas, required fields, attachments, and business rules before data is accepted
- **Role-based permissions** — assign agents and users to specs with clear ownership and responsibilities
- **Auditability by default** — track submissions, changes, and file history inside Snowflake
- **Multi-agent workflows** — structure handoffs where one agent submits and another reviews, reconciles, or advances the process
- **Controlled state transitions** — lock records when finalized to prevent further modification

All operations run entirely inside your Snowflake account. Agents can be minimally provisioned users with access only to the Airlock app and its governed interfaces.
