Image data associated with the publication: Sodium molybdate does not inhibit sulfate-reducing bacteria but increases shell growth in the Pacific oyster Magallana gigas Magallana gigas juveniles (38-51 days post-fertilization) were stored in ethanol. Whole valves, 10 per treatment, were mounted onto an aluminum stub with carbon tape and imaged using a Hitachi TM300 scanning electron microscope (SEM) in the UC Davis Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences.
