Bordetella pertussis is a pathogen restricted to human, it is the causative agent of whooping cough. In 1954 a first acellular vaccine was introduce by Louis Pillemer using the strain which was named after him, Pillemer (or P134).We sequenced a lab adapted P134 strain using Ion Torrent sequencer.
