资源简介:
Data in this dataset are all related to a laboratory incubation of dissolved organic matter leachates with microbial innocula. Dissolved organic matter leachates were all from permafrost thaw slumps on the Peel Plateau, NT, Canada. Permafrost headwall samples were collected from three thaw slump features, from each of the exposed active layer, a Holocene-origin permafrost layer, and a Pleistocene-origin permafrost layer. Microbial innocula were from upstream of the thaw slump, rillwater draining the thaw slump, or from the dissolved organic matter leachate itself. Decimal degree locations for individual thaw slump features are as follows (lat, long): Slump HD: 67.400, -135.333 Slump HB: 67.239, -135.818 Slump FM3: 67.253, -135.272 Incubations were monitored for changes in oxygen concentration, as a proxy for dissolved organic matter mineralization (i.e., decomposition of organic matter to CO2). Measurements of carbon concentration, dissolved organic matter composition, and concentrations of nutrients and trace metals (cations) were collected from each incubation. A subset of incubations were also assessed for microbial community composition via 16S rRNA. Microbial data are archived at NCBI; BioProject ID: PRJNA954976.
