supporting data for publication submitted to Plos one on the ethical-legal scrutiny of trans-border exchange of human biological materials in collaborative research. The data was from a study that aimed to explore researchers’ experiences and perceptions of trans-border exchange of human biological materials in international collaborative research.
Methods: This was a descriptive convergent parallel study that randomly recruited 187 researchers involved in biobanking and or genetics research. Data were collected using a self-administered tool that had both open and closed ended questions. The results of the quantitative analyses were summarized as tables capturing different descriptive statistics and the odds ratios. Qualitative data were analyzed using sentiment and thematic analyses using the r software environment.
The data: The supporting data included here icluded the following: R code with commands used in analysis, quantitative data, text data for both the content analysis and thematic analysis that followed, a Plos one CSL file, an html output file and a bib text file containing the used references. All of this should allow other researchers to reproduce our analysis.
