Each year approximately 9000 people in Norway get a hip fracture. After surgery most hip fracture patients are in need of rehabilitation services. Still there are large differences with regard to available health care services.The purpose of this study was to examine patient progress in treatment and outcomes thorugh the first year after a hip fracture. The study was based on data from Norwegian Patient Registry and The Norwegian Hip Fracture Register. "Municipal Resources and Patient Outcomes Through the First Year After a Hip Fracture, 2012" was a sub-project within the RCN project "Providing Integrated Health Care for Older People".
