We transplanted gut microbiota from human donors with ADHD or Healthy controls into ABX treated mice and reveal that colonization with ADHD microbiota is sufficient to induce hallmark ADHD behaviors. The brains of mice colonized with ADHD microbiota display alternative splicing of ADHD-relevant genes. Microbiome and metabolome profiles of mice harboring human microbiota predict that specific bacterial taxa and their metabolites modulate ADHD behaviors.
