1. Balanoptica orbicularis (Felder & Rogenhofer, 1875): 140, 27 (Cyme) TL: Nicobar Island (NHMUK) Distribution. Indian records: Andaman & Nicobar Island. Global records:? Sumatra. Remarks. Meyrick (1930a) placed it near to Melodryas, which is presently placed in Tineidae. The position within Yponomeutoidea is still unclear Sohn et al. (2015). Though, Yen et al. (2005) stated that external morphology (except for their clear wings) and genitalic structure of Balanoptica genera, are similar to Burlacena Walker, 1865 (a member of Zygaenoidea).
