Remote sensing ecological index dataset of the Loess Plateau from 2000 to 2024

This dataset is based on the Google Earth Engine (GEE) cloud platform, utilizing MODIS series remote sensing data and principal component analysis (PCA) to construct a remote sensing ecological index (RSEI) dataset with a spatial resolution of 1 km on the Loess Plateau from 2000 to 2024. By combining land use/cover data and correlation analysis methods, the quality and reliability of RSEI data were validated from two perspectives: the correspondence between the spatial distribution of RSEI levels and regional ecosystem types, as well as the correlation between RSEI and LAI.
