Presence of periodontal pathogens in patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma

This study revealed that there was a close relationship between oral microorganism, in particular periodontal pathogens, and oral squamous cell carcinoma. More importantly, these data indicate that eradication of common oral pathogens could potentially contribute to a reduction in the overall OSCC burden.
