經濟竹材高效率生產技術探討(Study on the High Efficiency Production of Scattered Bamboo)

Scattered bamboo forests must be moderately tended, harvested and rhizome-generated to maintain higher stand productivity. Makino bamboo (Phyllostachys makinoi) is an important and economical bamboo species in Taiwan, but its dense stands due to disuse become degraded in the past. This study explores harvesting operations to produce and manage bamboo efficiently in the future. 15 plots were set in Fuxing Township, Taoyuan County. Original age structure and growth status of Makino bamboo stands were investigated before selective cutting. Then, selective cutting experiments with different reserved culm distances such as 2.5 m x 2.5 m, 2 m x 2 m, 1.6 m x 1.6 m, and 2 m x 1 m were performed. The growth of new culms will be observed for several years in the future.

散生竹林需进行适度抚育、采伐与竹鞭更新,以维持较高的林分生产力。桂竹(Phyllostachys makinoi)是台湾地区重要的经济竹种,但过往因弃置导致林分过密,进而出现退化现象。本研究旨在探究合理的采伐作业模式,以实现未来竹材的高效生产与经营管理。本研究于桃园县复兴乡设置15块试验样地,在开展择伐作业前,先对桂竹林分的原有年龄结构与生长状况进行调查。随后设置不同保留竹株间距(分别为2.5 m×2.5 m、2 m×2 m、1.6 m×1.6 m及2 m×1 m)开展择伐试验,后续将连续多年观测新生竹株的生长情况。
