This dataset contains video data including metadata and video summaries during multiple static field experiments at Tall Timbers Station and Land Conservancy (TT) in October 2022 and the Savannah River Site (SRS) between May 2023 and June 2025.This data is from a series of experiments using liquid pool fires and small-scale laboratory work to characterize the way structure and heterogeneity of fuel elements change the drag and convective heat transfer in plume dynamics. Other datasets were collected and complement this dataset as part of the Department of Defense project RC20-1362.The TT field experiments were conducted using multiple liquid pool fire (pan) configurations on a clearing where all vegetation was removed. Panasonic and Vuze video recorders were used to record flame and smoke plume characteristics.The SRS field experiments were conducted using multiple pan configurations within a 2-ha loblolly and long leaf pine plantation. Understory vegetation was removed in all burns and tree density reduced in some burns.
