The case study of the Carmyle-Westburn Viaduct in Glasgow (UK) for the sustainable reuse of abandoned urban transport infrastructures

The case study of the Carmyle-Westburn viaduct - an abandoned railway bridge in the suburbs of Glasgow (UK) - has been developed with the aim to define and test a methodological approach for the reuse of abandoned transport infrastructures. The developed framework aims to guide decision making towards evidence-based and sustainable proposals.The case study was carried out through action research and consultation with various stakeholders. The interviews were conducted face-to-face and in two consecutive phases, with the aim of achieving the final validation of the results.

本案例研究以英国格拉斯哥市郊的废弃铁路桥——卡迈尔-韦斯特本高架桥（Carmyle-Westburn viaduct）为研究对象，旨在定义并测试一套用于废弃交通基础设施再利用的方法论体系。本研究所构建的框架旨在为决策提供指引，助力形成基于实证且可持续的改造方案。本次案例研究采用行动研究法开展，并面向各类利益相关方开展了咨询工作。访谈分为两个连续阶段以面对面形式进行，旨在实现研究结果的最终验证。
