Wet Cooling Towers

This map shows the location of validated wet cooling towers in the Netherlands. Wet cooling towers are installations used to discharge excess heat from production processes and buildings. This is done by spraying water in an open construction. Wet cooling towers can be a distribution source of the legionella bacteria. The bacterium poses a danger to public health.
