Ixodes ricinus transcriptome assembly from 88 salivary glands and midgut samples.. Ixodes ricinus strain:Nan | isolate:Nan | breed:Nan | cultivar:Nan

Pathogen free "sibling" ticks were fed on Cavia porcellus in their nymph states. In their adult stage they were fed on Oryctolagus cuniculus. A total of 88 ticks were fed up to 12, 24, 48, 72 and 96 hours or were not fed. RNA from their salivary glands and midgut was extracted and reads were generated using the NovaSeq S4 flow cell (NovaSeq S4 lane 150 PE) platform.The aim of this project is to assemble a reference transcriptome for Ixodes ricinus and to study the differencial expression and functional enrichment in the feeding stages mentioned before in both midgut and salivary glands tissues.
