A price survey conducted at supermarkets in Nagasaki City revealed that the average price of 1 kg of cherries in July 2024 was 3,645 yen. This is 474 yen cheaper than the national average of 4,119 yen. During the period from January 2015 to July 2024 (a span of 20 months), the highest price for cherries at supermarkets in Nagasaki City was recorded in June 2021 at 4,632 yen, while the lowest price was in July 2017 at 1,852 yen. The price difference between the peak and trough periods for cherries in the Nagasaki City area, namely, the highest price period (June 2021) and the lowest price period (July 2017), is 474 yen.
