Aged hepatocyte specific-Mcl-1 knockout (MKO-hep) mice tend to develop liver tumors mimicking human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). This study was aimed to investigate the molecular pathways that may contribute to the tumorigenesis of MKO-hep livers, and to explore potential prognostic biomarkers for HCC from genes activated in MKO-hep livers.
