Voter Autrement 2024 - The Online Expriment

During the 2024 European Election, we conducted an online experiment in which French voters could express their preferences for the different candidate lists using two alternative voting methods. In the first one, they were allowed to rank up to two lists, and in the second one they were allowed to rank as many lists as they wanted. The experiment is still available at https://lamsade.dauphine.fr/vote/. The website also contains French posts about the reason why we are testing these rules, as well as ananalysis of the results of the experiment. The dataset contains the answers of 3046 participants. All data can be linked to the voter id, except participants' comments for anonymity reason (note that the rows of comments.csv have been shuffled). In this document, we describe briefly this dataset so that other researchers and data analysts can use it.
