In this study, we screened and isolated a candidate strain with high purine-degrading activity, and we assessed the anti-hyperuricemia activity in potassium oxonate (PO)-induced hyperuricemia micerats. We also investigated a possible mechanism for lowering the serum uric acid level through fecal analysis.
