Slowfeeding dispensers for horses: who, how and why?

Slowfeeding dispensers for horses: who, how and why? We surveyed 1,283 french-speaking horse keepers on their slowfeeding practices. Keepers could be either private owners or professionnal yard operators (or both). They could be current users of slowfeeders (SFs), former users or non-users. Former- and non-users were asked about their perception of slowfeeding and their former use (for former users). Operators answered few general questions about their yard (number of liveries, housing ...) and their slowfeeding practices. Owners answered questions about their slowfeeding practices and could then fill the questionnaire for up to 5 horses (general information, housing, feeding, training, health). The questionnaire can be found in Appendix. Four (4) datasets were created based on the answers : DataFormerUsers (n=124), DataOperators (n=229), DataOwners (n=963) and DataHorses (n=1425). The three last ones were the ones used for the analysis of the paper. DataFormerUsers is a supplementary dataset. All headers are in english. Some variables were recoded in English, and some are in French. A "how to read" file describing the different variables is provided with each dataset.

马匹慢喂食器：使用者画像、使用方式与应用动因。本研究针对1283名法语区马匹饲养者开展调研，调研主题为其慢喂食器使用行为。饲养者可分为私人马匹所有者、专业马场经营者，或兼具双重身份者；其使用身份可划分为慢喂食器（Slowfeeders，缩写SF）现任使用者、前任使用者与从未使用者三类。针对前任使用者与从未使用者，调研内容涵盖其对慢喂食器的认知评价，以及前任使用者此前的使用经历。其中，马场经营者需回答关于其马场的通用问题（如寄养马匹数量、圈养条件等）及自身慢喂食器使用行为相关内容；私人所有者则需回答自身慢喂食器使用相关问题，并可额外填写最多5匹马的问卷，内容涵盖马匹基础信息、饲养环境、饲喂方案、训练状态与健康状况。调查问卷详见附录。基于调研回收的有效答卷，本研究共构建4个数据集：DataFormerUsers（n=124，前任使用者数据集）、DataOperators（n=229，马场经营者数据集）、DataOwners（n=963，私人所有者数据集）与DataHorses（n=1425，马匹数据集）。后三者为本论文数据分析的核心数据集，DataFormerUsers则为补充数据集。所有数据集的字段名均采用英文表述，部分变量经英文重编码，其余变量保留法语原始格式。每个数据集均附带一份"变量解读指南"文件，用于说明各变量的含义与读取方式。
