"The proposed action would implement conservation measures for petrale sole and canary rockfish during 2009 and 2010 in response to the latest stock status information. The proposed action would implement restrictions to the Pacific coast groundfish fishery to reduce the harvest impacts to petrale sole and canary rockfish. These interim measures would reduce available catch limits and expand closed areas. Therefore the impact of the proposed action could potentially reduce impacts to the physical affected environment.
