Brand geese: Max. mouse stock per year in the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea (LKN.SH — NPV)

From 2010 onwards, this service-related database will provide the maximum inventory of mooring fire geese from counting flights in the area of the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park. Fire geese are flightless for a few weeks during the mouse season in summer and are therefore particularly prone to disturbances. At this time (in the months of July — September), the Brandgans monitoring takes place with 3 comprehensive survey flights in the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea and provides information about the spatial and temporal distribution of the fire geese. The importance and change of the most important mouse areas can be estimated and evaluated with regard to potential sources of interference. Estimates of stock sizes can also be derived from the data. In addition, a distinction can be made in the data between flightable and non-flightable fire geese. The data of the maximum mouse stock per year (straight monitoring years from 2010 onwards) is generated from the base table of Brandgans monitoring (ID:B9893F45-BB67-41BE-BC0E-2971785E7E66). For the data of the Max. Mauser stock, only the flight of a year in which the highest number of incense geese was sighted is shown by the 3 detection flights carried out. This data is used to estimate the stock of the fire geese, but not for the variability of the occurrence throughout the summer. The data described here can be retrieved via the associated service “(WFS) Brandgeese” (Object ID:B837BEA3-DAA2-448D-946C-3B75255CBB14). In addition, the individual annual layers of the maximum mouse stock are offered as a WMS display service (Object ID: 81433B3F-C461-437A-AA2B-987A963D6767).
