Complete Genome Sequence of Candidatus Tachikawaea gelatinosa, Bacterial Symbiont of the Stinkbug Urostylis westwoodii

Candidatus Tachikawaea gelatinosa is a symbiotic bacteria in a stink bug, Urostylis westwoodii. They vertically transmit via voluminous egg-covering jelly produced by mother stink bug. Analysis of the complete 0.7-Mbp genome suggest biological role of this symbiont as supplier of the essential nutrients deficient in plant sap.
