Factors influencing participation of children with disabilities in home activities

The correlation between each PEM-CY score and the child's age, height, weight, and parents’ ages were examined by the calculation of Spearman's rank correlation coefficients. Mann-Whitney's U-test was used to perform comparisons between groups with high and low gross motor capacity and between groups with and without medical care. Multiple regression analysis (forced entry method) was conducted. The independent variables were those items that were significantly different or significantly correlated in the previous statistics. The PEM-CY score (number of items, frequency, and level of involvement) was the dependent variable. In this case, medical care was added to the independent variables for each item. High and low gross motor function and the presence of medical care were transformed into dummy variables.
