From 1874, religions of Christian denomination and Christian charities were able to apply for grants from the State Government so that they might continue to develop within Victoria.This series consists of a ledger of payments granted by Treasury in aid to these institutions, who were required to apply for them in writing. This correspondence occurs in VPRS 1207 General Correspondence Files, Annual Single Number System.
