Shenyang twelve pocket parks soundscape perception questionnaire data

This dataset contains 220 valid questionnaire responses collected on-site from adult visitors to twelve traffic-exposed pocket parks in Shenyang, China. Fieldwork was conducted during morning (07:00–09:00) and evening (17:00–19:00) peak-traffic windows between late April and early June 2025, with respondents approached after spending at least five minutes in the park. The instrument combined soundscape perception, measured using the eight bipolar descriptors of the ISO 12913-2 standardised protocol (pleasant, vibrant, eventful, chaotic, annoying, monotonous, uneventful, calm) on a five-point Likert scale, with perceived noisiness, soundscape satisfaction, air-quality satisfaction, perceived dominance of four sound-source categories (traffic, human, natural, other), and demographic and visit-behaviour variables. The file is a single UTF-8 CSV (questionnaire.csv) with one row per respondent. Sample sizes per park range from 6 to 35. The soundscape-satisfaction item was not administered in parks 1, 2, and 5, giving n = 158 for satisfaction analyses.
