Drinking water and biofilm bacterial communities. aquatic metagenome

This project aims to describe the dynamics of the bacterial communities of a drinking water system. Seasonal samples were taken over 2 years from both water and biofilm at four sampling points of a small drinking water distribution system in Israel. Our objectives were to compare bacterial communities (i) across sampling locations and seasons and (ii) from water and biofilm to determine the influence of environmental factors such as temperature, ph, chlorine or seasonal changes, in the water microbial communities dynamics.
