Nephron epithelial cells arise through a mesenchymal-to-epithelial transition (MET) during kidney development. We used scRNA-seq and multi-ome profiling to investigate transcriptional mechanisms driving MET in human renal organoids. Overall design: Renal organoids were generated from human iPSCs and collected at days 10, 12 and 14 of the protocol, which covers the period of MET, and analysed by multi-ome profiling. Organoids were harvested at day 24, when they are considered mature, and analysed by scRNA-seq.
