Effect of steroid hormones on the coral immune response during heat stress

Steroid hormones were hypothesized to affect the coral immunity during thermal stress. To confirm this we incubated coral fragments with labeled steroid hormones and followed their uptake during 48 hours. Then we obtained transcriptomic RNAseq data to map the immune system response of the coral to these steroids during lab induced heat stress.
