Data for: Angular velocity of Kolmogorov-scale fibers as proxy for turbulent dissipation
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains the numerical and experimental data corresponding to the figures presented in the article “Angular velocity of Kolmogorov-scale fibers as proxy for turbulent dissipation” by D. Zaza, V. Giurgiu, M. Iovieno, and A. Soldati (Physical Review Letters, 2026). The data include: Experimental measurements of the mean-square angular velocity of rigid fibers in turbulent channel flow at different friction Reynolds numbers Direct Numerical Simulation (DNS) statistics of turbulent channel flow, including wall-normal profiles of the filtered velocity-gradient magnitude and turbulent dissipation. DNS results for ellipsoidal particles, providing wall-normal profiles of the mean-square angular velocity and the individual contributions to the angular-velocity budget derived from Eq. (2) of the paper. Each data file contains a header describing the physical meaning of the variables, the applied normalization, and the associated simulation or experimental conditions.
