Protist Ribosomal Reference database (PR2) - SSU rRNA gene database

The Protist Ribosomal Reference database (PR²) provides a unique access to eukaryotic small sub-unit (SSU) ribosomal RNA and DNA sequences, with curated taxonomy. The database mainly consists of nuclear-encoded protistan sequences. However, metazoans, land plants, macrosporic fungi and eukaryotic organelles (mitochondrion, plastid and others) are also included because they are useful for the analysis of high-troughput sequencing data sets. Introns and putative chimeric sequences have been also carefully checked. Taxonomic assignation of sequences consists of eight unique taxonomic fields.<br><br>The database is now synchronized on <b>Github </b>for easier maintenance. 原生生物核糖体参考数据库（Protist Ribosomal Reference database, PR²）为真核生物小亚基（small sub-unit, SSU）核糖体RNA及DNA序列提供了独特的获取途径，并配备经人工审校的分类体系。该数据库的核心内容为核编码的原生生物序列；考虑到后生动物、陆生植物、大孢子真菌及真核细胞器（线粒体、质体等）的序列可用于高通量测序数据集的分析，故也将其纳入数据库。所有内含子及疑似嵌合序列均经过严格校验，序列的分类学注释共包含8个独立的分类层级字段。
