资源简介:
This report from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
presents a baseline forecast of methane emissions from the major
anthropogenic and natural sources in the U.S. and cost estimates of
reducing these emissions. Emissions estimates are given for 1990
through 1997 with projections for 2000 to 2020. Methane is a valuable
energy resource and the second leading anthropogenic contributor to
global climate change after carbon dioxide.
Major anthropogenic sources of methane emissions are:
livestock manure
domestic sewage
coal
landfills
biomass burning
natural gas and oil
rice paddies
enteric fermentation
Major natural sources of methane emissions are:
termites
oceans and freshwater
gas hydrates
wetlands
