Interaction of gut microbiota and anti-obesity drugs in diet induced obesity model

Although study that drugs modulated gut microbiota often reported, the effect of anti-obesity drug on gut microbiota were unclear. This study focused on relationship between anti-obesity drugs and gut microbiota. For this, we selected five drugs including Bupropion (BP), Lorcaserin (LS), Orlistat (OS) and Phentermine (PT) and Ephedra sinica (ES) which is herbal medicine. We treated five drugs to high fat-diet (HFD) induced obese mouse model for 8 weeks and collects fecal samples for microbiota analysis.
